Role Description

Care Support Worker/Health Care Assistant Role

Care Support Worker/Health Care Assistant Role

We are recruiting full time and part time roles in each of the areas outlined above. (Please note a full clean driving license and access to your own car is necessary for this role)

Care About You supports elderly & disabled individuals to obtain professional, person-centered care and support within their own homes, close to their family, friends and own community.

Our Care Support Workers should be passionate and sincere about providing the best possible care and in helping people live as independently as possible.

Day to day role includes:

  • Carrying out requirements of individualized care plan.

  • Providing Companionship and social engagement

  • Assisting clients with Personal care needs

  • Light household duties and meal preparation etc

​

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

  • Completed or Enrolled for QQI (FETAC) Level 5 modules Care of the Older Person and Care Skills.

  • Minimum 1 Years Care Experience Preferred but not Essential

  • Patient Moving and Manual Handling training-Preferred but not Essential

  • Applicants will be Garda Vetted and reference checked prior to commencing role

  • Have an outgoing, friendly and caring personality with excellent communication skills· Have a strong desire to support people in the comfort of their own homes· Are reliable and trustworthy with strong sense of empathy.

  • Full Driving License and access to a car

Role Description

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be a recently qualified or finalist accountant pursuing a CPA / ACCA / ACA qualification with a minimum of two years' experience working in a public practice or industrial environment and will have;

  • Strong attention to detail and strong problem solving & technical skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong analytical & organisational skills with process improvement focus.

  • A willingness to learn and develop professionally and to work independently.
     

Good general IT skills (Sage, MS Office, online banking, ROS etc)

You MUST have the following:

  • You must be an Irish citizen/EU national or hold a Stamp 4 visa status

​

We are looking for a highly driven individual with strong commercial awareness, willing to challenge existing processes and constantly looking to improve them and add more value. Reporting to the Managing Director, your duties include:

​

  • Ownership & Responsibility for the Accounts Function

  • Preparation of a monthly package including P&L, Balance Sheet, with supporting performance reports and analysis.

  • Ownership for the preparation of ROS submissions (VAT, PAYE, RCT) Instratat etc and statutory reporting requirements.

  • Accounts Receivable & Payable processing and collections.

  •  

  • Support the Invoicing function.

  • Inventory accounting.

  • Bank Reconciliations & Expense processing.

  • Ongoing review of outsourced payroll and payroll journalling including holiday accruals.

  • Preparation of payments run and bank payments Process monthly journals & relevant accruals & prepayments.

  • Preparation of year-end accounts file.

  • Liaison with external accountants in the preparation of year-end statutory accounts.

  • Maintenance of financial controls & accurate records

  • Ensuring Management is made aware of any issues or risks to financial control & planning, and escalation of the same in a timely manner.
